This was kind of surprising as I was reading about a person who originally and still is a pilot it seems but was kind of shocked when I saw that the person was also a real estate agent. I guess they decided to expand their income generating opportunities where I suppose you can balance the two easily as I would think getting the listing is the big hurdle and you can always work with others to show the property while you do something else.
But then I saw the person actually had another business as well now it seemed where they tutored people on certain subjects. All these completely unrelated fields was interesting to see as I suppose they don’t have to worry too much if one industry dies as they have another to focus on if they wish. It actually reminds me on how a lot more people are trying to live their live by working in the gig economy. One day they could be fixing a computer and the next day they could be driving people to their destination.
I guess it makes life constantly interesting. But I would think it is a little nerve wrecking for most to have that level of uncertainty each day. That’s why in this case it’s good if you can find gigs here and there on top of your regular work. Whether that be working at a job or running your own business. Heck, even a lot of businesses that sell products are trying to be content creators too nowadays. Income and experience diversification can be valuable I suppose if you can make it work.
