I had a funny scenario today where I walked into a store hoping to buy an extra battery for my camera. Normally the official brand would cost about $80 but this third party brand apparently works just as good and was like $15. Unfortunately, the store did not have the item in stock and as a result I went to a different store.
At the new place they only had a battery that was $30 and as well the official $80 one. All that time though I kept thinking how there was still a $15 option out there which made me a little hesitant to make a purchase since it is kind of a time sensitive matter. Ultimately I did go with the $30 item as paying $80 knowing there is like a $15 option would simply bug me all day.
Granted in this case it’s not the exact same product or quality, I think whenever you see a price difference that substantial you have to think just how much the higher priced item is simply marked up for profits. In these cases I usually opt to try to go for the middle of the road choice. Not the cheapest but definitely not the most expensive.
