This was kind of an odd piece of news today as I was reading how the government here is going to introduce some kind of plan that will force cable companies to allow consumers to individually pick which channels they wish to subscribe to. At the moment you basically have to buy them in bundles.
Kind of a strange area that the government decided to get involved in I thought all of a sudden. I guess financially if you are a cable subscriber this may help with your bill. At the same time, it makes me wonder if the companies won’t simply make subscribing to individual channels really expensive where you would want to subscribe to a bundle instead. Cable prices are usually why many have opted to watch everything online or simply buying an over the air antenna to get channels for free. This definitely makes me curious as to how much cheaper or more expensive cable TV will get here.
