There was apparently a crazy clearance sale at a particular store today and so out of curiosity I decided to check it out. As you would expect there were a ton of signs saying how certain items were normally $199 where now it say it is like $40. That alone makes it sound like a crazy deal. One technique I usually use to see if it is a good deal is that you can even use something as simple as a search engine to research what that company has charged for the item in the past.
In this case, I was able to see a lot of price comparison sites on how the item has been offered at like $45 before. I even went as straight forward as typing in the company name and the item in question and there were a ton of archived prices for me to review. So while it is cheaper, it’s not really out of the extraordinary. It gives you a good basis too as to what the real cost for the item is and how low they can go.
