SGR Affiliate Warning About Lanny Morton And SixMinutesToSuccess.com
January 15th, 2009 by Alan YuAs a person who is involved with web publishing I usually try and evaluate a bunch of different online programs. Whether or not I actually use them myself, many times I join different affiliate marketing programs to see the type of offerings that a company provides.
There is one program called the SGR (Science of Getting Rich) affiliate program that was created by some of the author’s that were featured in that “The Secret” movie such as Bob Proctor. For the most part I wasn’t too interested in promoting it and just left it dormant.
Just yesterday though I got this e-mail from them as I guess I am still on the list of affiliates. Indeed it was interesting as you can read here:

X-Mailer: PHP/5.2.1Dear Alan Yu,
I would like to start by saying that this is not an e-mail about Bob Proctor, he is a great man with great intentions, ideas and abilities to make a real difference in people’s lives. This is about Lanny Morton, brainchild of www.sixminutestosuccess.com. As I read the information on that website I realized how false it was. I realized the information about Lanny Morton is incorrect.
Here are the facts: First thing, they did not make $3 million dollars last year, it was closer to $250,000, and they will not make an absurd $9 million this year, it will actually be less. The website will have you believe that they went on vacation for a month in Hawaii and their business was just on cruise control, when in reality is was floundering on the edge of bankruptcy and in the middle of a sale. The sale in question took 4 months to complete because Lanny wanted to squeeze every penny out of the company before dumping it and its liabilities off on someone else. Now they are using illegal and unethical means to reacquire the assets of the former company without being responsible for any of the liabilities. They are common thieves and liars. They cheat for any amount of money possible and leave everyone around them wanting.
Thank you for reading and please DO NOT give any of your money to
www.sixminutestosuccess.com or Lanny Morton, the founder of this company. Please
go to www.sixminutestosuccess.com/contactus and tell Lanny how you feel about this.Thank you
Just to be clear, I’m just the messenger here and thought that this would be interesting for anyone who is actively involved in either of these programs. As it would appear though, whomever sent this e-mail within the SGR organization is claiming that the operator of the sixminutestosuccess.com site is deceiving people.
I tried to do my own due diligence and visited the site to see what it was all about. I was really confused as to what the relationship to this site and that SGR program was to warrant such an e-mail as usually a company would just terminate an account that goes against policies.
The site seems like a typical page designed to hype you up in order to “buy now” type of deals.

As evident, it heavily utilizes Bob Proctor’s fame to push the sale further.

At first I thought maybe the the e-mail was condemning Lanny Morton as they didn’t want to associate Bob Proctor with him anymore.
After watching the pitch videos on the site though, it seems like the person’s site revolves around promoting Bob Proctor’s products which again is confusing on why they just don’t ties directly. There was this excerpt I found on the page about Lanny Morton which is supposed to be the root of this e-mail:

One BILLION Dollars!
The very first day that I spend 6 minutes with you… I promise to reveal this secret to you. You can start implementing this secret in your life right after I’m done talking to you. No wait. No delay. You’ll see results in one week!
Another of my secrets was used by a young man named Lanny Morton…
Since childhood Lanny had gone on a rollercoaster of downhill experiences in life. His father was jailed when he was in his teens and his mother literally brought him up on welfare food-stamps. His first marriage bombed miserably. He was a heavy drinker and abused his body and mind greatly. I’d say, Lanny was a tortured soul.
Through a combination of bad decisions in life… when I found Lanny… he was homeless and close to starvation. He had $19 in his pocket and owed $18 for a purchase he was about to make. He thought his life was over and was suicidal at that time.
In the last three years Lanny’s come a long… long… long way from his former self. He’s making about $3.3 million a year. Better still his revenue increases threefold every year. Next year he’s estimated to make $9 million dollars!
He’s been featured on Fox News, Entrepreneur Magazine, USA Today, CNN, Tuscon Citizen and featured as a Google Checkout case study.
In fact, in 2007 he received the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award along with eBay CEO and President Meg Whitman. If you don’t know – the Webby Awards are like the Oscars Awards for the business world.
But here’s the best part: Lanny is happily married and loves his life. He has a loving daughter. He recently spent a month in Hawaii vacationing in first class fashion and his business still ran on auto- cruise.
How did such a huge transformation take place?
Well, Lanny gives all the credit for his life’s transformation to me. As you may have guessed, I’d be the last person in the world to deny this credit.
I could go on and on…
Now apparently the e-mail is saying that there is a completely different side to the story which the author finds unethical such as the income claims. According to the e-mail this Lanny Moss person is the creator of the site, but thus far it looks more like a partnership of some sort that was created to me personally.
I did stumble upon this video on Youtube that was originally meant as a tutorial for affiliates of the Six Minutes To Success Site.

It was published on January 08, 2009 under the alias of someone called “arizonaswede”. The video basically has Lanny Moss explaining about the whole pitch process and setup of the site. You can see it here if you wish:
While it didn’t really answer my questions about this fiasco and the exact relationship of everyone, it is an interesting watch if you are mildly curious about the sales pitch process and strategies that these types of pages usually rely upon.
What I do find really interesting is the business aspects of the whole thing. I would think using statements like the person is using “illegal and unethical means” is kind of a very dangerous thing to say especially if you are mass mailing it to hundreds if not thousands of people. Kind of reminds me of those message forums where people start labeling others as fraudsters or scammers without the exact details being present.
So while I am still not 100% sure what is going on, I’m sure people/affiliates involved will be interested in it as well as people who are just researching about the site/program for the first time. I’m sure no one wants to waste their hard earned money if something ugly is taking place behind the scene. Feel free to enlighten me if you know more details.

The letter that I received this morning differed slightly from yours, but had the same message. I was advised not to give Lanny Morton any money, and told that he is a petty criminal.
I am very puzzled about the association between he and Bob Proctor. If Lanny Morton is using Bob’s property or name illegally, can Bob not stop it? How is Lanny Morton connected to the SGR Program (as a video I found online this morning suggests)?
Very perplexing. That email helps no one, as far as I can tell, but seems to hurt both parties. I can only assume that Bob Proctor is trying to protect himself as well as he can under the circumstances.
January 15th, 2009 at 5:42 am
By the way, there was no name/signature on my letter, either.
January 15th, 2009 at 7:40 am
I have received the same email!
As much as I love Bob Proctor’s teachings, he seems to have many dubious business partners (i.e. David Schirmer [Life Success Pacific Rim], Lanny Morton, the legal problem with the first launch of the SGR Club) …

Just got this:
Hi Shirley,
Thanks for your email.
I’m very sorry that you had received that email supposedly coming from us.
This email regarding Lenny Morton and the website sixminutestosucces.com didn’t come from us, although it seemed like so.
To verify this, you can check in the email headers and you will find that the email was sent from another server. This is the kind of information you will find:

Shirley,
Was that from a SGR rep? Cause the headers I saw show that the IP address and all originated from the server that the mails normally come from. Although, I did just get this now and the story version I am told is they were “hacked” (Same server information too it would seem):

Dear SGR Affiliate:
I am the Vice Chairman and Legal Counsel for LifeSuccess and Bob Proctor. Last night an unauthorized person or group “hacked” into the LifeSuccess administrative email account and created an unauthorized email regarding the Six Minutes to Success program and Lanny Morton who works with us on this project.
The sending of this email was an illegal and felonious use of our system and a willful and intentional effort to damage our program and reputation, and we intend to pursue the perpetrator(s) with all available and legal means at our disposal. Bob and LifeSuccess wholeheartedly stand behind Mr. Morton and the Six Minutes to Success program. We deeply regret this situation and should you have questions we welcome you to contact our office by phone or email, at:

I have actually never heard of the problems that Meri mentioned up there in the comment either till now. This program sure has its history I guess.

Hi, I also received this email, I was part of the SGR program like many of you. I personally know Mr. Morton and I have nothing but great things to say about his character. Whoever wrote that email is definitely filled with hate, resentment and envy against Lanny Morton and is maliciously trying to damage his reputation. If it were not this way, why did he/she omit their identity? Obviously not a man or woman enough to stand behind what they wrote. Either way, the beauty of the law of attraction is that you can’t send out evil and receive good. Hence, whatever this person receives for taking such demeaning measures against Lanny Morton, they will certainly deserve. Careful what you put out, it comes back!!
Best Regards,

Hi there, I am from South Africa and also received both the same e-mails – however, upon going to Larry Morton’s site http://www.lannymorton.com/?page_id=2, it doesn’t seem to be on-line anymore… peculiar…
January 15th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
Hi Alan:
Yes, I got the got the one from legal, too.
I emailed Hanna (Bob’s Customer Happiness Manager)and she reinterated that their email had been hacked and they were taking legal steps. She also assured me that the people Bob partners with are trustworthy to deal with.
I felt better after talking to Hanna.
January 15th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
Sorry Alan, I didn’t answer your question.
Yes, that letter of explanation came from Hanna (SGR). That IP/server info is what she included in the body of her email to show me what she was referring to. I’m afraid that I don’t know how to find that info myself.
January 15th, 2009 at 11:38 pm
I never thought that the first “warning email” was an official statement. In my opinion, there could be 2 sources:
1: A (frustrated) partner or employee of Life Success/SGR
2: An external hacker (official version)
The motivation in either cause could be
1) revenge
2) bad experiences with the parties involved
3) sincere desire to warn people about misrepresentations.
Whatever the source and the motivation: it does not determine whether the information shared is accurate. For me as a customer, my concern is not how the message got out, but whether it is true or not.
January 16th, 2009 at 9:45 am
I was involved in SGR, met Mr. Morton and when I read the email I almost died laughing because Lanny and Bob both deserve what they get. They prey on people who are too cowardly to be honest with themselves and after they began to invest money in their programs the only way to justify it is to spend more while at the same time judging any opposition to their half-witted “law of attraction” philosophy as “hateful or envious”. It is nothing more than righteous indignation! You know, like that person said above: “Careful what you put out, it comes back!!” I believe they both are getting what they set in motion, nobody is hateful, but the indignant accuser of hate who is in denial trying to attract all these things by becoming a self-righteous control freak. All the law of attraction teaches people is how to be more controlling and judgmental. I know because I was dumb enough to try it myself. I whole heartily used the SGR program and intensely, now I am living proof that it doesn’t work. Am I mad about it? Not really and I really mean that. My life is in better shape now than ever, not because of SGR, but because I worked at it (the expenses of my SGR foolishness made it harder work). I still put on an SGR cd from time to time. Of course I would after paying $2000 dollars for the program. There are some good things in there, but there are some bad things to and I take it as my own responsibly to discriminate between the two. Notice how only Bob’s friends defend him? These are the people who are in the “do whatever Bob say’s club”, they take everything he say’s as the gospel truth, buy into all the “M.S.I.’s” he aligns himself with tossing their hard earned money right down the toilet and most the time this doesn’t cause them to wake up to the foolishness of what they are doing, but makes them even worse off in a state of denial and every dollar they waste reinforced their “secret” lie that controls their life.
I can only speak from my own experience and from my own experience Bob and Morton are not people I want to associate with. Not because I am mad at them, but because they lead to nowhere and I know this. The only good thing I can say about Morton or Bob is that they know how to sell stuff and I personally believe that they will do it no matter what it takes because they have hoodwinked themselves into believe that they are doing it for God (isn’t that dangerous?). I personally would like to shake the hand of the person who “hacked” into their system if that is even what happened for telling the truth and even more for breaking out of Bob’s sales trap (or at least starting to see what it is) and being honest with themselves. It is he or she who is the real teacher, not Bob Proctor.
Wake up folks,
John A. Whitaker

Another thing to point out is: do a little research on Bob’s partner with “The 11 forgotten Laws” program.
Mary Manin Morrissey- a simple google search will do.
January 16th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Agreed, Meri!
How to find out?
January 16th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
I haven’t heard about the 11 forgotten laws. I’ll have to look into that.
January 16th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
Shirley,
You can find the e-mail headers usually in the “view” tabs if you are using an e-mail client. If you are using a web based e-mail there are usually options on the bottom right or left of the e-mail to view “full headers” of the e-mail.
It’s a useful way protect yourself from those phishing scams as you can see this way if the e-mail is legitimately coming from who they say they are. That’s why I thought this e-mail was strange before as everything looked like it came from their regular mail servers.
Meri,
I am personally going for option one of your point as it makes the most sense. This hacker thing doesn’t sound right to me personally as it seems like it is used in such a generic way since it is a “buzz word” to people who are less technically inclined.
At this point though everything is just speculations with a bunch of unanswered questions. How do you get the truth? Just depends on how big this becomes I guess and if enough people are interested that should create pressure to release some details. As well, maybe this situation will force people like Lanny Morton to reveal details about the business which I’m sure will be interesting on its own right.
There is one post in particular that worked wonders in getting the truth out(Company didn’t fare too well when it came to answering all the facts that the readers compiled though in that situation). So let’s see if there are any further interesting findings.
January 17th, 2009 at 4:37 pm
Hi,
My name is Lanny, and I am the one being referenced in the e-mail that was blasted out from the SGR customer service system.
I can only say so much because this incident will probably end up in court as a defamation suit and the person who did this, did so illegally and could possibly be heading to jail, so I don’t want to mess with that process.
Here’s what I can say.
The Email was sent from a former employee of SGR. He still had the password to the system and used it to attempt to get to me. Since then, the passwords have been changed and he no longer has access.
I am not going to try and defend myself against charges made by a coward who wouldn’t sign his name to the comments and I am grateful for people like “J” who posted on this blog who know me and know it is a bunch of crap.
I would like to tell what I experienced in the process of having this happen because I think it is a lesson that is fantastic.
When the email went out, It didn’t bother me that much. I was surprised, actually kinda shocked, but I didn’t get angry, actually, I still felt great. In that moment I thought about what a great measuring stick for growth it was. A year ago, I am not sure what my reaction would have been but I bet it would have really sent me into a tailspin. In the Science of Getting Rich, we are taught to live from our higher faculties and ignore circumstances and not let outside influences affect our feelings, which are then expressed in actions which produces results.
I felt really good when it happened that it wasn’t affecting me, it made me feel like I was really making progress on not letting circumstances control me.
The next day, I struggled with staying in a positive frame of mind about it. Actually, I read this blog, and it pissed me off. It is hard seeing people that don’t know me passing judgment.
I talked to Bob the following morning and the talk we had was priceless and was a life lesson that I will never forget and actually put me in a genuine state of gratitude that this inflammatory email went out.
Here is what Bob told me. He told me to visualize the person that sent the email. He told me to picture what he looks like, picture how he operates, look at how unhappy he must be. He then said, “Do you want that guy controlling your feelings? therefore controlling your results?”, I said “wow” to Bob. He then went on to tell me that this experience is a great test. He said we are always tested, almost every day, and that this was a big one, and I passed. He said, someday it will probably happen again and I can look back at this experience and learn from it and feel confident that circumstances or negative people won’t have an impact and that I can create my future, not idiots like the one who sent that email.
Everyone has idiots in their life somewhere, don’t let them bring you down. Some of them will be a very subtle and not necessarily blast out an email that makes it pretty obvious how ignorant they are.
My goal in life is to help as many people as I can get what they want. I have dedicated myself to it. If anyone has additional questions, I am pretty easy to find.
Thanks and best wishes,
Lanny Morton
January 18th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
Hi Lanny,
I guess that clears up the “hacker” bit as I didn’t think that was the case personally. About being pre-judged here though, I think with the exception of one person who was heavily involved with the SGR program everyone that has posted thus far is just looking for answers.
For myself since I am like the observer here, what exactly is the relation with the SGR program specifically and Six Minutes To Success? I am personally confused with that. Based on my quick observations, other than marketing Bob Proctor as a key pitch for the product I guess you can say it seems like these are independent businesses where you created something new by establishing some kind of agreement with him. Example, kind of like that 11 forgotten laws product that was mentioned above.
Or am I missing something really obvious here such as these companies are under say the same facility/corporation and thus this employee actually handled work in all the different divisions? That would indirectly answer a lot of questions in my mind anyways and I think this should just be some generic information.
I guess for the things that are mentioned in the e-mail, the simplest way to answer it is to just provide some basic details such as whether or not a sale actually did take place for whatever business that person is talking about. If the guy is just making everything up as your business is continuing to flourish and you never put it up for sale, then that could easily just squash that e-mail. I am assuming he is referring to the business http://www.sportscloseouts.com/ since that is what you became known for it seems based on the materials that you use to edify yourself.
To be fair too, from both angles to me there are things that are publicly available that in some ways make the e-mail sound semi-fact based and in some ways not. For example, is your income claim and business that was set on auto cruise that sportscloseout? Again, this is just from what is publicly available, but as an observer I visited the site and found it very strange that although the front page appears to be up, you will notice that all the page clicks originate from “Archive.org”. Hence, the site/company doesn’t seem operational.
At first I assumed maybe you just closed that site and decided to focus on say selling on Ebay, but by the looks of it for whatever reason your account has been closed there and so I am guessing you are not using that to sell the sporting goods anymore either. Changing business focus maybe? With details like that I am personally very interested in learning more about your business and operations. Would be interesting to learn too how a business like that faired during the hard economic times. Of course, that is entirely up to you though if you want to share those details or not.
On the flip side, from my own observations on what doesn’t make sense from the sender’s side is how he attacked you only and not Bob Proctor if what he sent to everyone is remotely true. I say this because that literature on the six minutes to success site is supposed to imply that the words we are reading are coming out of Bob Proctor’s mouth correct? So if you think about it, if the sender is claiming that those details that paint you in a bright light is false then technically he should be just as mad or disgusted with Bob Proctor. In that sense it doesn’t make complete sense and kind of validates that maybe the person just has a grudge against you for whatever reason.
A bit off topic, but did that Webby Award really helped you a lot? I have never been too big of a fan of that award in particular since you have to pay a fee to be considered. Though, I guess you should know first hand if that recognition was worth it as I guess in many ways it can be viewed as an advertising expense and is all about the ROI.
January 18th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Alan,
I can speak about the future of sportscloseouts.com. We are taking it back over as the people that purchased it from us are not paying any of the vendors and have breached many areas of the agreement. The reason I have an archived version of the site up is it is all I could find. I am in the process of taking back all the assets, the other party is not being very cooperative, actually somewhat combative.
“he should be just as mad or disgusted with Bob Proctor. In that sense it doesn’t make complete sense and kind of validates that maybe the person just has a grudge against you for whatever reason.”
I think I just painted a picture of the other reason.
I think my attorney had the best line when he read the email that went out about me, he said “Them sending that email is like a rapist complaining he didn’t have an orgasm”
lol enough said.
January 19th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Okay, thanks for the info that you could give out. Guess the speculation will continue until you guys go through all the legality stuff.
For my updated thoughts, it sounds like it could have been possibly a complicated business sale beforehand (speaking of the sportscloseouts.com) if they aren’t paying the vendors, so to speak. Other reason could just be simply poor management when they took over. Of course, I don’t know the full details of all the fine prints and such of the transaction.
Assuming it is a regular retail/reseller type of business then normally all the liabilities should be on the company itself I would think as oppose to the vendor since usually the company just buys the product from the vendor and that’s it. If the company doesn’t sell the products afterwards to a customer then it is usually tough luck and they either have to sit on it or get rid of it at a huge discount. The vendor should be out of the picture normally.
The only other way technically I can imagine that happening, about the vendor not being paid, is if all the products were purchased with credit, such as being provided by the vendor. Then, either the company couldn’t sell the products and hence had no money to pay the vendor or for whatever reason the inventory was taken/lost/gone/stolen/destroyed……etc.
While this may all come out publicly in the future in full detail if warranted by either side, my educational guess of what happened, just by putting all the details together, is that someone was confused either intentionally or ignorantly about an agreement.
Based on the e-mail and that “rapist” remark you mentioned that your attorney said, a possible scenario, and most likely the one in my mind if I had to guess, could be that they bought the business assuming that all the inventory and such is fully owned by the company (sportscloseouts.com). Whether or not the business itself was doing good sales wise is irrelevant, though my guess is it wasn’t doing as good as anticipated/hoped. Rather than asking a bunch of questions, I guess they decided to take ownership of the company and made an offer.
My guess continues where when they officially took ownership of the company, they were left with a bunch of unexpected liabilities. Essentially, it then becomes one of those “Hey, you never told me this…” and the other side saying “Hey, you signed this” with only the two parties knowing the absolute truth. So this could possibly be one of those situations where nothing “illegal” was done but rather it’s a subjective matter of ethics and integrity. Then afterwards, since the guy couldn’t really do anything he say harasses you in some way hopefully to get you to change your mind/position. That would fit the “rapist” remark.
And now for whatever reason someone opted to e-mail blast everyone about it and labeling your actions as “illegal” and all to hopefully “get even”. Ironically, assuming the situation is something like that, regardless if one’s actions are frowned upon from a moral or ethical standpoint by certain people, them saying that you were doing illegal things and all that makes them vulnerable for the damages that it causes you and hence the defamation case.
I’m no lawyer, but like they say the best defense to a defamation accusation is the truth. So, they got their work cut out for them unless they can easily prove all of their remarks. That’s the best theory I can think of anyways about this situation so far. Although, I must admit knowing that the business has been out of your hands, for an unclear amount of time period, confuses me even more about the literature on the site in regards to those income claims and all.
Guess I’ll have to wait to see how accurate or inaccurate my guess is. You just hear these stories way too much in the business world just in different forms/variations.

My name is Daniel and i have been listening to Bob Proctor for 8yrs and started with 6mins2success.com a few months ago. I have been reading some of the comments on here and dont even know anything about whats been going on. What i can say is Bob Proctors teachings helped me take control of my life and create a great environment for family. All this negative talk about it does’nt work is false. The people who say it didnt work for them gave up to early, and the time frame they gave for completion of these goals was to short. Thats ok, we dont know how long our ideas take to form and we just need to reset the time frame but not the goal. I have met Bob Proctor and he is a man of intergrity and if he is associated with Lanny Martin it is because he chooses too not because hes locked in to some agreement. Bob associates his self with like minded people and i’m sure Lanny Marton good man. 6mins2success is a great product and the the brains behind the idea should be congradulated.
Enjoy your days!!

I have been friends with Lanny Morton for a long time. I have to admit I have not spoken to him in going on about 6 months as I have been building up my own eBay business which is now silver and should be qualified for gold (partly due to Lanny). Lanny and his wife are two of the most incredible people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. I can not attest for all the people Lanny has met but I can speak on my own behalf. Lanny and his wife have helped me and my family in many very positive ways. I also know that he has helped many other people and left a positive mark on their lives as well. The person who wrote the email was speaking in half truths and lies.
Thanks,
Jarod

Hi
I was just about to sign up when I did a quick search. I came to this site. Oh dear. The SGR site has a $197 entry fee. Lanny Norton’s site (6 Minutes to Success) has a $39 entry fee. There is the Original Science of getting Rich network and then there is the Science of Getting Rich website, both are different. There is Mr Waddles book about money and health and then there is Napolean Hills book “The Science of getting rich” and ” The Master Key To Riches” book also which is pretty much the same information. Most of the data is accessed from these two books including “The Secret”. Ninety percent (90%) of people’s problems are “well-being” related. Meaning “Ones health impacts on ones ability to create riches”. Now I don’t mind how I get rich as long as it is legal and I don’t hurt anyone in any shape or form. I think that SGR and the Affiliates are a Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) Tier type operation. You give money up a level, and get 4 people below you and they get 4 people on and on etc. The disguise is the websites. You get to choose what you want to sell. What is/are your passion(s)? Clothes, Real-Estate, Flower, Websites whatever. The website will be tailored to suit your needs and desires. When you sell down-line, you give nothing except information. This is what makes it legal. Pyramid selling is illegal as there is nothing to sell. As long as all people concerned have integrity and pay up to their up-line or if there is an honest administrator handing out money all day every day, there shouldn’t be a problem. Why someone would want to hand out money in today’s climate begs belief.
As I said, I don’t care how I make money as long as it has integrity and is honest.
Lanny Morton, talk to me straight. I got the money waiting in my hot little hands. Prove to me beyond any reasonable doubt that what you and Bob offer is honourable and has integrity and I’m in.
Oh, another thing, a PS3 has a hard wired price attached to it, pretty much. It’s priced the same all around the world. Why are there differing prices for Bob’s product(s) and his affiliates (is it a fancy word for MLM)? I want to really join up. Please be honourable.

Very interesting
I’m an affiliate marketer who is involved in a current product launch and “Lanny Morton” is currently at the top of the leaderboard – and had such a HUGE lead on everyone, I wanted to see who he was and what he did.
Interesting that he’s obviously using his large list of customers to market THIS particular product as I can’t imagine it converting very well for him, despite the fact he’s driving tons of traffic (and leads) for these guys. I won’t mention what the prizes are that are up for grabs, but Lanny is going to be pretty happy when all this flushes out, so for those of you involved with his business, I hope he takes care of you accordingly.
For the product in question, drop by my blog at

Lanny should leave a good thing alone. just learn from it and work with it. I can understand he came from a bad life, but don’t most of the people who invest in things like this. Lanny is my up line in a MLM and when I got hung up I would call him almost for 2 weeks. When I finally left the message that I could lose alot of clients and money, he the next day had a downline from him call me. She promised me a call back and never because she is also involved in trying to accomplish everything at once. He seems like a good guy but Lanny, finish whatyou start!!!!!!!

Alan,
After talking to a defamation attorney, he explained to me that I would have an open and shut case against the Former Employee of SGR who still had access to the system and sent this email out to 14,000 or so people.
The problem is, I would probably have to spend about $100,000 to go after this guy and more importantly, spend my time spent on negative stuff. So I am choosing out of taking this guy to court.
He got pissed off when I repossessed my domain names and ebay account.
Here is a link to my ebay account. You can see that selling activity stopped around the time I took it back (when this stupid email was sent).

I also took back my domain name, sportscloseouts.com. You can see here that it is a business that My wife and I developed:

There are only two things on his rant that are true.
1. The business was in trouble when we sold it to these two jokers. We made full disclosure about the condition of the business. Every account payable and liability was detailed in the agreement. Despite the condition, they agreed to buy it.
2. He is right, we did not make $3 million dollars. It was over $3 million in Gross sales. our income was about $250k on that $3 million in sales. The copywriter of the sales page made a mistake and made it sound like we made $3 million, that has been removed from the site.
A few facts they left out of the email is that they didn’t put any money down, they sold almost all of the inventory from the business (Over $300,000 worth), they paid vendors a total of $5,000 and they made 3 monthly payments on the note payable to us.
There is a saying that when you point a finger, there is 3 coming back at you. These guys are the thieves.
Although the experience sucked, I don’t regret it, I learned some valuable lessons. It only sucks that people still read about this on your blog.. hehe Then make judgments about me.
oh well, if they are judgmental, I don’t want to work with them anyway, so you probably did me a big favor.
All the best.

Hi Lanny (seeing as you read this, but your staff don’t answer calls or read emails to the customer support department). I have had nearly $1000) over charged to my VISA account from your Six Minutes to Success company. I have phoned from NZ and emailed repeatedly and spent hours agonising over how to get my money back. I have tried your product – like it- but don’t want to buy it – said I didn’t want to buy it and have been charged for it. As much as I don’t want to bad mouth your company, I sure have a very bad taste in my mouth now with respect to you and Bob Proctor who I was preciously a big fan of. I WANT MY MONEY BACK NOW!!!!!! and then no more will be said of the matter. I have even left a message with Bob Proctor’s legal counsel. What a huge waste of my time!!! Will I get answer? Your dealing with this will show others how your integrity sits! regards Jane (contact details available from this site or in multiple emails in your lack of customer service department)

Hi Lanny. I’m not sure if my letter above is what created the action, but within 24 hours of submitting it, I received an apology from your Operations Manager and the correct money was refunded. Thank you very much for rectifying this. No hard feelings – all the best with your Six Minutes to Success (and ironing out these teething problems). regards, Jane
